Guar Gum is an efficient and effective hydrocolloid which optimizes texture and viscosity in many applications including ice cream, general dairy, sauces, soups, beverages, bakery, noodles, and personal care.
DAIRY: Guar Gum is used in ice cream as a superior stabilizer. It ensures desired texture by preventing the formation of coarse ice crystals, and it gives stability during freeze-thaw cycles.
For general dairy products, Guar Gum functions as a suspending agent and a stabilizer to help provide desired mouthfeel and texture.
SAUCES, SOUPS, BEVERAGES: Guar Gum is a hydrocolloid with very effective and efficient thickening when dispersed in water-based formulations.
Guar Gum provides the desired viscosity and stability along with a savory appearance to sauces, soups and beverages.
BAKERY, NOODLES: Guar Gum is a thickener and suspending agent to improve the texture and resilency in pastry, cakes, cookies and noodles.
In bread, Guar Gum helps retain moisture. It keeps the bread smooth, pliable and fresh for a longer time, thus extending shelf-life.
PERSONAL CARE: Guar Gum is soluble in both cold and hot water. Its protective colloid-forming quality results in stable emulsions, making it a good thickener and suspending agent in cosmetics, creams, jellies and ointments.

How is Guar Gum made? There are three key stages.
1 - Fresh Guar Bean pods are dried, and the Seeds are removed.
2 - Seeds are cracked open to remove the endosperm which is then dehusked to produce the Splits.
3 - Splits are soaked in water to hydrate; then milled, dried and screened to specified particle size to produce Guar Gum powder.
